A Bit of History

Riad Inaya, located in one of the oldest parts of the medina, is a house that breathes authenticity. Restored with passion, every corner of the house tells a story. From the moment you arrive, you will be welcomed by two magnificent illuminated doors, renovated by local artisans. The main door, majestic, now serves its original function between the entrance hall and a more discreet room, while the second, characteristic of Moroccan double doors, has been restored to become a brilliant decorative element.

Craftsmanship at the Heart of Our Riad

At Riad Inaya, every element has been carefully restored by local artisans, highlighting traditional craftsmanship and Moroccan authenticity.

The Multicolored Zellige Fountain

Our riad is distinguished by a magnificent multicolored zellige fountain, created by a master Fassi artisan. Built entirely by hand, it is a unique and remarkable piece that enhances our entrance with its traditional motifs and vibrant colors.

The Souvenir Display

Located in an alcove of the patio, our souvenir showcase offers beautiful traditional silver jewelry, along with original and easily portable items. Perfect for our guests who wish to bring back an authentic gift from Fez, without getting lost in the winding alleys of the medina.

Traditional Woodwork

When we arrived, the ancient woodwork of the house was unrecognizable. After several months of restoration, the windows, doors, mashrabiya, and half-moons have regained their former glory, adorned with hand-painted Iraqi glass.

Iraqi Glass

Likewise, there was no colored Iraqi glass left on the woodwork. We had them all redone, and the result is very impressive. Iraqi glass is a precious tradition of old Arab houses.

House Rules

Our house is a genuine guest house where we also live. It is not a hotel with day and night staff working in shifts. We, Marjorie and I, Pascal, personally take care of your welcome, your check-in, and we do our utmost to ensure that your stay is as pleasant as possible. To make sure everything runs smoothly, we kindly ask you to read the following points carefully:

Credit card payments are not accepted. Only cash or PayPal.
Breakfast is served from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Dinners are served from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
For hygiene reasons, eating in the rooms is not allowed.
Evening meals must be ordered in the morning. The price is 250 dh/person.
For ecological reasons, towels are changed every 3 days.
Air conditioning or heating must be switched off when you are not in your room.
Smoking is not allowed in the rooms, and smoking hashish is strictly forbidden anywhere on the premises.
To preserve the calm of the riad, access doors to the terraces close at 10:30 p.m.
For the same reason, guests are asked to avoid phone calls in the rooms after 10:30 p.m.
A key box allows you to enter the house independently. We will explain how it works. The key must always be returned to the box after use.
Tourist taxes are added to your bill and must always be paid in cash.
We are also sometimes faced with guests misjudging certain situations.

We believe it is useful to inform you of several points that may lead to negative comments, even though we are not responsible for them:

We are not responsible for the weather, for the heat, or for the absence of sunshine...
The call to prayer takes place 5 times a day. We cannot prevent it...
Fes is a very old medina. Drain smells may sometimes appear. We do everything we can inside the house to reduce this inconvenience.
The house is quite tall. Two Wi-Fi routers supply the connection, but when several guests are connected at the same time, the connection may slow down a little.
The rooms with a view are located on the top floor of the house. There are therefore stairs to climb. Please note this before booking them.
We are not responsible for the poor quality of tourist guides or the dishonesty of some shopkeepers. You are never obliged to buy anything.
We are not responsible for what you eat outside. You must be careful and above all avoid eating or drinking anything in the streets.
We will be happy to advise you to the best of our knowledge and experience. However, we are not tourist guides.
